Q: What is the Vanguard I?

A: The Vanguard I is a keyless solution for your motorcycle. Simply put, you can leave your keys at home, never again be burdened with putting the key in the ignition, and feel more secure with your motorcycle.

Q: Does it start my motorcycle for me?

A: No, the Vanguard I is not a keyless remote starting system, it simply allows the user the convenience and added security of not having to use a key to operate the motorcycle. Instead, only the person with the appropriate remote in their pocket will be allowed access to the motorcycle. Once that person is on the motorcycle the only thing left to do is flip the switch and start the bike.

Q: Can the Vanguard I be concealed from view?

A: The Vanguard I system can be mounted virtually anywhere because of its small size.

Q: Will it fit on my motorcycle?

A: Yes, the Vanguard I will fit seamlessly onto any motorcycle.

Q: So it has an alarm also?

A: Yes, the Vanguard I system, along with being a keyless motorcycle system, is an alarm system. When you get on your bike the alarm will disarm. When you get off your bike the alarm will arm...all without having to press buttons on the remote.

Q: So if the alarm goes off will it eventually turn off and reset itself?

A: Of course. The alarm will automatically reset itself after a few minutes if it is triggered.

Q: What will alert me when the alarm goes off?

A: When the alarm goes off there will be both visual and audible signals. The horn on the motorcycle will honk and the lights will flash. We've heard too many stories about motorcycle alarms going off in a parking lot with only the horn honking leaving no way to actually see which alarm is going off. With the Vanguard I, if the alarm does go off, everyone will see and hear it.

Q: How difficult is installation?

A: Installation is very simple and can be performed by a dealership or owner with no problem at all. Installation takes about 30 minutes.

Q: Are any special tools required to install the Vanguard I?

A: There are no special tools required to install the Vanguard I. Installation from your local dealership will be quick and easy.

Q: Is any drilling required?

A: No, SAGAR Innovations would never dream of requiring a user to drill into their motorcycle. We would never ask the owner to do anything that would devalue their property like drilling into the frame or other parts, or cutting into the seat.

Q: Does the Vanguard I draw a lot of power from the battery?

A: No, the Vanguard I system draws less power than a vehicle’s clock.

Q: What happens if I want to program another remote?

A: Programming more remotes is easy. Please see the user manual for instructions. One remote can be programmed to multiple bikes, or, multiple remotes can be programmed to an individual bike.

Q: What happens if I want to de-program a remote?

A: Deprogramming a remote is simple. Please see the user manual for instructions on how to do so.

Q: If I change the battery in my remote or disconnect the power to my Vanguard I system will it forget which remotes I have programmed?

A: No, the Vanguard I's intellectual system will remember the remotes that were programmed and the owner will not have to reprogram remotes.

Q: Is the Vanguard I weatherproof?

A: Yes, the system is weatherproof so that if you are washing your bike or riding in the rain, the Vanguard I will withstand all conditions.
